Our Mission

We are inspired to create spaces that are beautiful AND accessible at the same time.  Most short and long term rentals, vacation homes, primary and secondary residences are not accessible.  Why?  Failure of imagination to consider all of life's possibilities for you and your family, as well as for the ones that will come after you.

 

Ask yourself these four questions:

1. Do you want to heal at home after a short or long term mobility challenge?

  (think: knee surgery, hip replacement...an illness or procedure at any age)  

2. Do you want to age-in-place versus moving to stay safe at home? 

3. Do you want your home to be accessible to all of your friends and family? 

4. Do you want to increase the value of your investment by adding features that are attractive to more home buyers?

 

Our family knows first hand how hard it is to find accessible and visitable properties; whether we are looking for vacation homes or forever homes.   So, we decided to remodel our investments in a way that is not only inclusive for our family, but also for the 25%+ who report additional accommodations increase their ability to own real estate, travel and visit others, and be comfortable in their surroundings.  Considerations cross multiple subject matters including mobility, cognative and sensory (memory care, autism spectrum, and more)

Our mission is to spread the word about how to increase the value of real estate investments by embracing the spirit of Universal Design.​

What does it take to participate in this movement?

1.  An awareness of the features that a property could offer to make it more comfortable for more people.

2.   The desire to be thoughtful, intentional and strategic when building new or  remodeling an existing property.
